Most interesting one is Turkey. I think this is a recent change in their law. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign affairs website states that Indian passport holders with a UK/Schengen or US visa can get a 1-month visa upon arrival. I wanted to visit Turkey back in April 2010, and then I was advised by the embassy, the travel agent and the Turkey MFA website that I do need to apply for a visa, despite having a UK resident visa.
Here are some interesting excerpts from the Wikipedia list ....
- Egypt (Sinai resorts area)
- Seychelles
- British Virgin Islands
- Ecuador
- Jamaica
- Trinidad & Tobago
- Bhutan
- Hong Kong
- Macau
- Nepal
- Sri Lanka
- Ireland -- special case -- only if you have a valid UK tourist/business (short term) visa.
- Fiji
- Vanuatu

Hiya,
Can you please share your experience on getting Visa on Arrival at turkish airport?
I have UK Post-Study Work visa. do you reckon that I can get sticker type of visa on arrival at turkey?
The description was correct; if you have a Schengen or UK visa then you don't need a Turkish visa. What is interesting is that there are plenty of countries that do need a Turkish visa (USA being one and some other European countries). However there is one seperate and I believe stringent line for people requiring visas, India and African line and then European line. Europeans clear VERY QUICKLY; Indian / African line are treated like cattle. I had a piss poor experience in IST airport; not just entering but even leaving. The staff were lazy, incompetent and inaccurate (I missed a 18 hour outgoing flight because of wrong terminal and gate). Hated every minute of it.
